Political Commentary

I've avoided political commentary because we're in a pandemic and because I've been focused on sounding alarms as to how this virus is particularly lethal to the people I've spent my career serving, older adults. But now that the United States has twice as many cases as China, and we'll soon have more deaths than China, it's time to call this like it is. Our administrations crisis management response has been horrible. They're not falling good incident command technique. Following the president has been like following a random word generator. One day he's saying everything's going to be beautiful and now he's somber. I'm sorry, but his lack of effective leadership has already gotten more people killed than is necessary. He might have just shot them in the middle of 5th Avenue. Sorry, but he is unfit for the job and should not be reelected under any circumstance. Btw, I'm not thrilled by either the Republican or Democratic response as well. The special interests jumped in and got a ton of money. Maybe we need to throw them all out of office. With that said, the president is supposed to lead. Leadership has been a nonexistent quality for him during this crisis. Goodnight.
